Itinerary

Your trip starts as soon as you arrive in Cairo; there you will be met by your tour manager from Egypt Tours. He will drop you off at the luxurious Kempinski Nile Hotel, where you will begin confirmation of pick-up times for the various places to be visited. You will have a welcome drink there, then have rest or start discovering Cairo, the colourful city.

Once you have had your breakfast, you head out to visit one of the oldest capitals of Egypt, called Memphis, which King Menes founded. Next, you will see the Step Pyramid of Zoser in Sakkara, built by Vizier Imhotep for his royal patron, King Ninetjer. Enjoy local lunch before proceeding to the Giza Plateau, where you will find the Great Pyramids: Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus. Giza is home to the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple, both of which will enchant you with their beauty.

You will start your day with breakfast services in the hotel and enjoy a private tour of the Egyptian Museum, where you will see the ancient Egyptian world, which includes the treasures of King Tut. Then, proceed to Salah El Din Citadel and the beautiful Mohamed Ali Mosque.

After lunch, go to the Khan El Khalili Bazaar for some shopping, and proceed to visit some churches found in Cairo that are very attractive, such as the lovely St. Barbara’s Church, the Church of Abu Serga, Ben Ezra Synagogue, and the Hanging Church. At the end of the day, you'll go back to the hotel in the evening.

Enjoy your breakfast before heading to the airport, where you will board your flight to Luxor. Upon landing, get ready to cruise the magnificent Nile onboard the Sonesta Amirat Dahabiya for a week. After lunch, you will go on an excursion to Karnak Temple and visit the famous Hypostyle Hall, which boasts 137 colossal pillars, and Luxor Temple.

After breakfast, you will join the tour of Luxor's West Bank. You will enter the Valley of the Kings, where the tomb of young King Tut and also the Valley of the Queens were found. Proceed to the Medinet Habu Temple and then see the Colossi of Memnon prior to going back to the cruise. The cruise sails to Esna and stops overnight in the peaceful surroundings.

Take a sailing boat trip into the heart of the Nile while admiring the picturesque scenery and the calmness of the waters—somehow, it will even be possible to do this for ages.

Enjoy breakfast and watch as your Dahabiya Nile Cruise arrives at Edfu to visit the Temple of Horus, the most well-preserved temple in Egypt. Afterward, the cruise will head further down the river for another relaxing evening.

After breakfast, take a sail to Kom Ombo Temple. Upon arrival, go on an excursion to see the unique Ptolemaic Temple dedicated to the gods Horus and Sobek. Return to the boat afterward and spend another tranquil night on the Nile.

Enjoy a peaceful day sailing down the Nile towards Aswan, and have dinner on board while arriving at Aswan.

You'll go on an excursion to the highlights of Aswan off the cruise. This will include the High Dam, which is considered one of the engineering marvels that was completed in 1971. Then visit Philae Temple, which originally was on the island of Philae before being moved after it was saved from destruction by the High Dam.

You'll transfer to the Aswan airport for your flight back to Cairo. On arrival, a tour manager will transfer you to your hotel for one last night in Egypt.
